At the memorial old way I was proud to be able to pass on to Guy Keen the belt, Alan Hesketh, (a student of Gary Spires - RIP ) arranged for me to be presented by GM Colwell for my 6th Dan.

Months ago, Guy travelled to Okinawa to be graded for his 6th dan by Morio Higaonna Sensei, 10th Dan, IOGKF Chief Instructor. Of course Master Sensei Spiers also trained with Sensei Higaonna in Okinawa.

GM Ronnie Colwell presented Shihan Morio Higaonna personally with his Kizuna Medal. The history and background behind this event is wonderful - Kizuna Brotherhood and the golden thread.
